Already Dead

You’re already dead in my mind. So, it’s Friday. It’s been a hellacious week. I’m a laid back dude. I’m all peace, love and understanding. But meditation has taught me self awareness. And it dawned on me today, as I was dodging bullets {metaphorically speaking}, that I was slaying people in my head. Come on. That’s funny.

Seriously, it’s been a year since I was working 18 hour days. Now, I’m looking at maybe 12. Shouldn’t be a problem, right? In all actuality though, it’s not. But I have noticed my internal dialog becomes a little more abrupt by weeks end. So what does that mean? It means, meditation works. Being in tune with your body, breathing and mindset, will literally save your ass.

I worked my entire life to become so self aware. I put in countless hours of quiet time. I invest in silence, because you can’t take words back. People are holding onto enough trauma, no need to throw another brick on and weigh them down, with my bullshit. That is the blessing and maturity that comes with meditation. Realizing that we all have stuff. Deal with your stuff. Nothing good comes from spreading it around. However…

If you catch me towards the end of the week and I am unusually silent. Just know, you’re already dead in my mind. {j/k} Happy Friday!
