Find Me

Two words. Heartfelt. The most beautiful thing that anyone has ever said to me…

The other day, the wife and I were talking. She was telling me about a dream she had the previous night. She said that she was on her death bed, and I was with her. Right before she passed, she said, “Find me.” That literally blew me away. With a couple of decades under our belt, we still have this connection that shatters the illusion that love fades over time.

I think our relationship is based on rituals. We both have our own way of connecting to source. But we come together daily to give thanks, pray for others, and pressing deep into each other. She has been the true constant. The reverence that we hold for each other, is like something that I have never witnessed before. But why?

When we got together over 20 years ago, we both had gotten out of long term relationships. But here’s the thing. We both took time off to find ourselves. We were so busy building ourselves, we didn’t realize that we were constructing ourselves in the image that the other was praying for.

True story. One chilly evening, I went for a walk. I used my evening walks to meditate and manifest. Meanwhile, she was doing the same thing, at the same time, a few towns over. We literally were calling for each other. It wasn’t until we were together that we learned of this. We figured it out because, as we were walking, it started to snow. We typically didn’t get a lot of snow.

I believe that you have to find you, in order to find your “Fine Me.” Until you put the work in, and really know who you are, I think at best, you will only find people who are attracted to the version of you that you are presenting at that time. While both my wife and I have matured over the years, we are the same people that we showed to each other all those years ago.

So for my beautiful wife. In this life, and all others. No matter what form we may be in, I will find you. Thank you for the gifts that you give me daily. I will honor you forever. Our love will outlast eternity.
