For The Record

For the record. You may have quit on things, but you haven’t quit on life. You’ve lost and loved, but somehow you’re still here. You have endured pain, suffering and trauma. Yet, you get up, show up and get on with your day. Day after day.

For the record. You’ve made mistakes, hurt people and done some pretty terrible things. None the less, you are beautiful, powerful and forgiven. Yes, forgiven. The key is to forgive yourself. It literally changes the narrative and path of your life.

For the record. None of us have clean hands. But that’s okay. Life is dirty, messy and at times, down right cruel. The mess leads to the masterpiece. In turn, you can learn to master peace. Stop running to the end result. Walk into the current moment.

For the record. When it all is said and done, you are going to die. And for those who chase the righteous life, death is the reward. So if you’re reading this, I just wanted you to know, that you are not alone. Others are struggling too.

They say tough times make tough people. I say tough times make compassionate people. And it looks good on you. And that I think you should know. For the record.
