I Want To Get Dirty With You

Dirt. We all have some. And I share mine willingly. I do this for two reason. First, I am not ashamed of anything I’ve done. Have I done bad things? Oh God, yeah. But I’m a good man. I fought real hard to become the person I am. And not one of you mother fuckers have walked a mile in my moccasins. Two, people are less likely to trust you, if they don’t see any imperfections. Trauma bonding? Hello…

Look, I think trauma bonding is inherently bad. Not at first. But if that is the only bond between you, it more than likely will not be a positive experience. In other words, trauma has a tendency to keep you stuck. But I like dirt because of the trust factor.

When I work with the police, EMS or soldiers, they trust me because of my imperfections, my scars. {That and I am really fucking good at what I do.} Soldiers in particular, because I am up and working out before the sunrise. They recognize the discipline. And once they learn about my tragedies, game over. We can move on then, because I have been in the shit as well.

So what am I getting at tonight? I’m a deep thinker. I love your light, but am fascinated by your darkness. I admire the warrior within you. I love the fact that you were once left on the floor to die, and you rose to your feet and got on with your life. I love the fact that you don’t complain about your problems, that you just vibe with the rhythm of the day.

And that beautiful people, is why I love you dirty. I don’t like illusions, falsehoods or perfection. So if you want to be in my life, fuck the fake. Strip down to your soul. Show me how dirty you are. Now we’re equals. Now life begins.
