Naked Ideas

2 min readApr 26, 2025

I get ideas when I am naked. I have long spoken about the power of the shower. To me, water is holy. It is cleansing. And through the purification process, my mind opens up. It gives me guidance and a natural reset. It heals, then helps me face the day. It is one of the most underrated meditative tools out there. You want to know why there are so many apps out there that replicate the ocean? Because the ocean can rewire our brain chemistry. Water is the elixir of life.

When I get naked and jump in the shower, I know something magical is about to happen. I have written about it on several occasions. I usually take myself through a series of exercises. I am repeating the phrase, “No stress, no fear, no darkness, no disease.” I slowly slip into a meditative trance. I then begin to see things. I hear words. I get ideas. And when the flow stops, I get out of the shower and I begin to create.

I am blessed to live in a sleepy little beach town. I get to sit at the water anytime I want. Or should I say, anytime I need to. Same for the wife. With her being disabled, together we frequent the water. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we are bird watching. Other times we sit in silence. This happens more often than not. That is where the power lies. That is when the healing gets activated.

While it is true that I am a long hair, vegetarian, meditating, crystal carrying, yoga dude. It all serves a purpose. It is all grounded in science. The point that I am making is, I actively remove barriers that prevent me from trying to understand life. And if you’re having a hard time with this, there is a cure. No it is not more cowbell. Oh come on, that shit is funny. Maybe the cure is to simply to get naked.
