Perfect

It was one of those moments that was too good not to acknowledge. I was sitting in my office listening to some jazz. The wind was whipping and rain was falling. From down the hall, I could hear my wife in the kitchen cooking some breakfast for herself. And I thought, “How perfect”. That’s it. My world is complete. It is little things like that, I find are blessings.

I’ve had a very fulfilling life. I have made a lot of money. Traveled extensively. Gained a certain amount of notoriety. But at the end of the day, what makes me happy is the love of my wife. The quality of my life. And sharing the skills that I have.

I could want more. But today, it is like it was created for me. From the scent of the candle next to me. To the vibe of a rainy day. To know that I made a difference this week. From the immense amount of gratitude flowing from my soul. Yes, I could want more. But today is perfect. And I don’t think I would change a thing about it.
