I was talking to a friend the other day. And they were still talking about what happened to them a few days ago. They just couldn’t let it go. I listened. I supported them. And then I told them that they were far too smart to let yesterday’s bump, turn into today’s burden. They chuckled and said, “Yeah, you’re right.” Baby, turn the page.

I posted something on social media today that said, I hope you realize how powerful your first thought in the morning is. I have found that you win the day, with the conversation that you are having with yourself in the morning. Mornings are for manifesting. There are a few things that I do every morning without fail. I meditate. I work out. I love on my wife. And the last thing…

Sage and page. What the fuck is that you ask. I’m a crystal carrying, feather collecting, affirmation saying dude. But what really helps is my morning ritual of saging my house. Why? Because it helps me turn the page on yesterday. If it was a bad day, I want to have a clear head moving into the new day. If it was a good day, I want to honor today by being present. See what I am getting at?

All days are created equal. We find ourselves in trouble when we bring yesterday with us. Or if we are too distracted by thinking about tomorrow. You’re alive right now. Whatever has happened, happened. Whatever is going to happen, is going to happen. Get yourself mentally and spiritually strong today. And how do you do that? That is going to look different for everyone. But for me, it is as simple as sage and page.
