Save The World
Beautiful faces are many times born out of broken places. Pain has a way to soften us. And being soft, is what brings about awareness. The kind of awareness that pulls people into you. They trust you because you are safe. You’re not judgmental, and you’re easy to talk to. And they will take, and take, and take, unless you are firm in your boundaries.
A lot of you, forgot to take care of you. You can’t count on others to do it. They are too busy counting on you, to take care of them. Sound familiar? Saying no is your salvation. No gives you power. Power that is needed for when you say yes. Because you often say yes, you will need to have balance in your life. And balance comes from boundaries.
It can be both a blessing and a curse, that so many look to you for help. But do not take on other peoples problems. It was problems that gave you this gift in the first place. No need to invite more into your life. Sometimes allowing people to handle their own business, is the most spiritual thing you can do. Yes, be that safe place for them. But don’t drown with them. Don’t give them 24 hour access. And surely don’t do the work for them.
Know how I managed to stay sane working 4 decades in mental health? I rarely allow others pain, problems or process, to rent space in my head. Not always an easy thing to do, when seeing death and crisis on a daily basis.
So take care of you, for you. And the added bonus? Taking care of you, allows more of you to be there for them. And that is what this is all about. It was your peace that attracted them to you in the first place. So teach them to manifest their own peace. And that, is how we save the world.
