The Blueprint

I write a lot. I’ve been writing for years. And it doesn’t matter if I am being paid, or if it is just for enjoyment, the process has always been the same. Full transparency. I have written about some pretty hardcore stuff. And the truth is, I hold very little back. Even in a cancel culture, I paint an honest picture. But why? For me, it is all about the blueprint.

Have you ever spoken to an older person, and they gave you some really wise advice? I have. In fact, most of my circle has been 10 to 20 years older than me. It started off unintended, but I got wise to it very early on. I picked people who knew more than me. People who I could learn from. Best thing I’ve ever done in my life.

I have worked in mental health my entire life. I’m an educated man, but life itself taught me the greatest lessons. Working with the broken, bruised, diseased and dying, has taught me so much. So I write about it. In the same way that the elders have taught me, my hope is that my writings get you to think, and or get comfort. Like a blueprint. Working with people on the worst day of their lives, allows me to share an experience that may help benefit someone else. Even in my personal journey, I held nothing back.

We are being bombarded on social media every day. I try to elevate the conversation. Is my page for everyone? Nope! It’s not intended to be. It is meant for the person who feels hopeless or powerless. You are not alone. In 39 years of mental health, please believe that there are hundreds {if not thousands} of people who are struggling just like you. Build your support system today.

We become like the 5 people we spend the most time with. Spend time with the survivors, artist, business owners and happy people. And please include people who are older than you. They have been there and done that. They, more often than not, have the blueprint to life.
