Mean mother fuckers. Why is their problem, your problem? Why trample on them when they are down? I even see many do it unknowingly. You’re trying to be helpful, only to be hurtful. Hit the breaks, slow down and show up. And by show up, I mean shut up. Let’s get into it…

We’re all fundamentally flawed. And if you happen to be at a place in your life where you’re doing well, be a vibe of kindness. For many are working it out for themselves. And some, well some are train wreck after train wreck. We don’t need to pour out our self righteousness on the hurting. Serves no purpose other than to make ourselves feel better. Do not trample on the downtrodden.

The truth is, we never really know what another is going through. And when we do, we sometimes even acting in good faith, make it worse for them. Your heart may be in the right place, but offering unsolicited advice can complicate the problem. You want to be a safe harbor? Don’t muddy the water with words. Words cause a ripple. Instead, sit in silence and listen. You know the saying “holding space”…yeah, fuck that noise. Pull them into your peace. The kind of peace with few words and is judgement free.

The best investment is silence. A hug or smile is worth far more to the hurting than your words. Yes, the right words can be priceless. But silence is a currency that shows respect. It say’s, “You take the floor. I will listen.” Everyone is so busy trying to be an influencer. You want to influence someone? Live a life that is honorable.
