Twice

Two times! It does happen. I had to Google it to to be sure. I am referring to; can lightening strike twice in the same place? Someone not long ago asked me this very question. They recently lost their spouse, and wanted to know if it were possible that they would find another love? The truth is, I get so many questions asked of me via social media, that I rarely get a chance to respond. So allow me to make but a small dent in this ever growing line…

Lightening can strike twice in the same place. You know what else. There are numerous reports of people who have won the lottery twice as well. I think what happens to many of us, is that we get caught up in a narrative in our heads. These narratives often don’t paint the most favorable outcome. But here’s the thing. We can’t explain the unexplainable. There are going to be events that happen that far defy the odds. I believe that is the difference. Train yourself to leave room for the unimaginable. Because yeah, it can happen.

I’m sure if we look back at our lives, there are plenty of times that things worked out {for the better} than we thought possible. And why did they happen? I’m sure we can often pinpoint why they did. But I would be willing to bet, there are a few times that we have no explanation. I can look back at my life and literally come up with at least a half a dozen scenarios. Can you?

I know when life is repeatedly kicking you in the stomach that it is hard to be optimistic. Be optimistic anyway. Give thanks anyway. Be forgiving anyway. To me, that is how we draw in a blessing. I love the saying that happy goes where happy is. And that is exactly what I am talking about. Live that gratitude. Speak of those unseen blessings. And if they don’t come? Well, at least you’re not carrying around that heaviness. You’re not dishonoring what, or who is gone. And sometimes, that can be all the difference in the world.

So beautiful people. Here is what I am saying. Don’t let anyone {including yourself}, talk you out of the possibility of a miracle coming your way. Because people do win the lottery twice. And lightening does strike twice in the same place. You don’t have to believe. But it sure helps if you leave the door open.
