War

Every fucking thing. You know these people? They want to fight about everything. But it’s a trap. They are not at war with you. They are at war with themselves. They pound out bullshit conspiracy theories on the Internet. They make fun of your religious/spiritual views. They call you weak because you follow a certain political party. They belittle you because you follow science. They don’t like the way you look, dress, or who you date. And there you are…defending yourself. Let me let you in on a little secret. They can’t win a war if you’re not willing to fight it.

I have spent a lifetime meditating. The one key take away is that there is no traffic in my lane. I’m an educated man. I am well traveled, made a ton of cash, and done some pretty amazing things in my life. The flip side of that coin is, I have spent many years in the trenches. I held the dying, fought for the undeserved, and advocated for those who don’t have a voice.

I spent many years in the martial arts. I have trained with law enforcement and the military. I am in the gym 365 days a year. In short, I am war ready. But here’s the thing. If I go to war, you will lose. But there is so little that I would fight for, war never enters my mind. A true warrior knows that war is the last resort. They also know that no one wins a war. As for me, short of you putting your hands on my wife, you win. See how easy that is? Do you know how much peace is on the other side of needing to be right, or defending your position?

If you have ever met me in real life, you would probably think that I am one of {if not the most} laid back people you have ever met. Do you know why that is? Inner peace over public perception. I simply don’t care what you think of me. Nor do I have time to explain my position. And I would implore you to do the same. You’ll never have self worth by explaining yourself. But you will when you no longer feel the need too.

War. Somethings are worth fighting for. But in reality, most are not. That is ego. And as the ego dies, life becomes uncomplicated. And that is why warriors fight as a last resort. They know what they are capable of. They just don’t feel the need to prove it.
